Wellroot Family Services Scholarship ProgramWell

The program supports youth who have experienced foster care, homelessness, and other significant challenges, and it recognizes students for their community service, academic performance, and demonstrated leadership in school. Awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be granted for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Requirements:

  • students must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2024-2025 academic year.
  • for most awards, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • some of the funds within this program give preference to those who are, or have been, associated with or received assistance services from the Wellroot Family Services (formerly UMCH).

– Award amounts will vary based on the designated funds.
– Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
– Awards are limited to one award per student per year.
– Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only.
