Program Dates – June 8-13, 2025
- Program Start: North Ga Technical College (Clarkesville campus), June 8 in the afternoon
- Program End: UGA, June 13 in the afternoon
High school youth from across the state may apply. Up to 25 students will be selected to participate in this residential college campus experience program. Participants spend three nights at the Clarkesville campus of North Georgia Technical College and two nights at the University of Georgia, where they receive important information on college preparation, learn about the college application process, develop leadership skills, and discover new opportunities. In addition, students will have the opportunity to visit the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega.
During the program, participants stay in residence halls, eat in the dining halls, participate in recreational sports, and visit the libraries, athletic facilities, and classrooms. Current college students serve as mentors throughout the program. Participants will be able to hear from professionals about preparing for college, including college admission counselors, scholarship and financial aid representatives, professors, and Georgia youth advocates.
Program Requirements
- Students must be rising high school sophomores and juniors in Georgia
- Must be in foster care, wards of the state, or emancipated
- A case manager signature/DFCS signature will be required for all youth currently in foster care prior to the program start date.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and notifications will be made beginning in early April. Following acceptance into the program, additional information from each participant will be required.
