The Embark Georgia statewide network serves post-secondary professionals and institutions to ensure connectivity, share best practices, and provide information exchange among youth, community based stakeholders, and K-12 education.
Program Profile

Darton State College

Darton State College is located in Albany, GA. It is a 180 acre campus that is located about 90 miles away from Columbus, GA. Darton has an average class size of 25 students. The student population is around 6,000. Darton seeks to be an involving campus. 

Students are identified as they self-disclose a need for services or support across campus. As a student is identified , they are referred to other departments for support or services as needed. Depending upon the need, the student may obtain access to the C.A.R.E. closet that is stocked with clothing, food items, food gift cards, hygiene items, toiletry items, household items etc. These items are donated from faculty, staff, and departments. 

Children's Bureau Express

The Children's Bureau Express (CBX) covers news, issues, and trends of interest to professionals and policymakers in the interrelated fields of child abuse and neglect, child welfare, and adoption. 

Spotlight on Transitioning Youth

This month, CBX focuses on the challenges faced by youth in foster care transitioning to adulthood, as well as the supports and services they may need for a successful transitioning.

1. MUST Ministries in Marietta, GA is currently seeking a Case Manager for the men's floor of its emergency shelter. Please note, that due to the intimacy of the work area and privacy concerns, applicants should be the same gender as the work area. The key purpose of this position is to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining the best possible housing solution for their individual circumstances through case management, advocacy, and referrals.
