Embark Georgia

The Embark Georgia statewide network serves post-secondary professionals and institutions to ensure connectivity, share best practices, and provide information exchange among youth, community based stakeholders, and K-12 professionals who support former foster and homeless students in their academic endeavors.

Summer Viewing Opportunities:

  1. Webinar Opportunity Tomorrow:  The Power of Peer Groups and Posses in College Success

    Wednesday, June 4, 2014, 2 to 3 p.m. ET.

The transition from high school to college can be daunting, academically, socially, and emotionally—and often especially so for students from minority groups who aren’t well represented on many college campuses
  2. Great video out of Jacksonville, Florida of a homeless youth beating the odds and graduating at the top of his class!
  3. Highlights from Fostering Success Michigan's 3rd Annual Summit.

Thank you to those who have sent us the above links!  As always if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please let us know.  We want to make Embark a useful tool for everyone!
