Embark Georgia

The Embark Georgia statewide network serves post-secondary professionals and institutions to ensure connectivity, share best practices, and provide information exchange among youth, community based stakeholders, and K-12 professionals who support former foster and homeless students in their academic endeavors.

Thank you again to all of our new subscribers and please feel free to continue forwarding this information to anyone you know who might be interested!  Below you will find two webinar opportunities for developing campus based support programs and retaining students.

  1. Hosted this week by Fostering Success Michigan:  Salient Factors Related to Postsecondary Retention and the Value of a College Degree for Foster Care Alumni
  2. To be presented March 19, 2014 by the Stuart Foundation:  Information is Power: Using Data to Inform Campus Support Program Design

Please let us know if you watch/attend either webinar and we can share your feedback along with ours in an upcoming mailing.  We will be sending out an announcement next week about 4 summer opportunities for youth in foster care!

As always if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please let us know.  We want to make Embark a useful tool for everyone!

We should have window clings of the logo ready by the end of the month!  Let us know if you would like one to display in your office!
