Embark Georgia

The Embark Georgia statewide network serves post-secondary professionals and institutions to ensure connectivity, share best practices, and provide information exchange among youth, community based stakeholders, and K-12 education.

This is a quick note to share the following video highlighting one of Georgia's amazing youth!  Both David and Lori had the pleasure of presenting with Ms. Antoinette Rucker this past weekend at the DFCS Teens R 4 Me Conference.  Ms. Rucker is currently a junior at Albany State University earning her BSW.  The conference was centered on helping youth age out of foster care and into adulthood.  Embark presented to several groups including DFCS leadership, case managers, supervisors, and CASA volunteers and staff. Please take a moment to watch the video and see how amazing our Georgia students speak on behalf of their experience!

Transitioning out of Foster Care (11Alive)

In addition the logo to the left we have created the first Embark handout highlighting Designated Leaders at both USG and TCSG institutions.  Please email either David or Lori if you would like a copy of the flier!
