Embark Georgia 2015-2016 Regional Meetings



Why should you attend a regional meeting?

Are you working in Georgia and have an interest in supporting students with foster care and/or homeless experience? Do you want to learn what your peers are doing to support these youth? Embark Georgia regional meetings are designed to bring key partners together in order to share ideas and build relationships to enhance the educational opportunities for young people who have experienced foster care and/or homelessness.

Who should participate?

DFCS case managers, ILP and EPAC staff; K-12 homeless liaisons, counselors, and social workers; USG and TCSG faculty and staff; private providers; community partners; youth and anyone else who is interested in supporting the educational success of young people with foster care and/or homeless experience.

Where are they being held (lunch provided)?

December 2: Georgia State University 10:30AM-2PM

  •    Urban Life Bldg., 2nd floor – West Exhibit Area
  •    140 Decatur St. SE
  •    Directions from M Deck  - exit M deck on to Gilmer St. (opposite side of deck entrance).  Walk toward Piedmont Ave. and turn right onto Piedmont Ave. Walk one (1) block and turn right onto Decatur St.  the Urban Life building will be on the right.  The meeting space is on the 2nd floor.
